5467These are made of beads and thread, and the outer "flame" edge has wire going through it. I make these to order. They make you feel like Wonder Woman. I'd tell you they can repel bullets, but I don't want you to test this theory out in real life!
This pair has been sold; I made these for another artist. I can make a pair to order, to your size or that of a friend's, in colors of your choice. Price is per piece, not by the pair.

Mt. Vernon IL102 3693Lilac-colored freshwater pearls form a darling little cluster of grapes, complete with a pair of green glass leaves. 21 grapes are hand-wrapped on sterling silver. Length of pendant averages 1 1/2" long, but may vary slightly due to the use of natural pearls. Comes with an 18" sterling silver twist chain.

Portland OR95 1499This is a rendering in beads of a great sci-fi magazine cover from the 1950s. Just beads and thread, no glue. Beads stitched into beads, one millimeter at a time! I will be making a frame for this piece. This is about 7" in height by about 5" wide.

For bead nerds I used #11 new reproductions of white hearts for most of it. I found them at a bead store out on hiway 26th near the Warm Springs Measeum. A great place.
The larger beads are old authentic white hearts.
I did this to contrast the way the old bead wera nad beautify next to the plastic like newness of the reproductions.
I used some number 15 faceted italian glass deads in some areas.
The deal is sealed with tow durable box clasps made by Jess Imports out of the Bay area. The clasps have study bezels around vintage buttons. At $65 it is a steal. For you lov.li people. I have it elsewhere for $100.

Milwaukee WI4 922I heard it through the grapevine - this bracelet is a winner! Violet and olive glass beads twined together, with a silver grape leaf toggle clasp, measuring 8 inches in total length.

Portland OR45 1566These are hollow, handstitched heads made of glass "seed" beads. The beads range from 1 - 3mm in size. Just beads and thread, no glue or armatures. Wild, eh? I can modify them so they can be strung; I have little boxes that they fit in; and I can even put a little magnet in the bottom so it stands up by itself. I have beads in tons of colors, so I can make one in your fave colors. They are small, a little over 1" to 2" high.

Portland OR44 1664This is all beads and thread, inspired by the cover of the Ventures' "Runnin' Strong" album. I didn't use a computer to pixel out the picture for me. I sketched the cover of this album in colored pencil, reduced it on a copy machine, and extended the hair. I started at the bottom of the picture and just laid the beadwork down on it to see where I should be, what color bead to string next, every few stitches. I didn't know how I'd finish the necklace, but it takes so long to work on it, I had plenty of time to figure it out while working (about 5 months).

Portland OR3 1064This is all beads and thread; hollow, no armature. I like to display her suspended in air on monofilament, but she has an acrylic display stand also. It's the Planet Stories gal in 3-D! Those are lightning bolts coming out of her fingers and she's descending in a hail of fire, coming to GET you. The original Planet Stories magazine that inspired this was from 1952 and the subheading for the story was "Female warriors raided the galaxy to fill their harems on Alpha C".
I didn't use a pattern for this piece. I started at the waist and built it out from there.

Chicago IL2 2080This is a lot of handmade paper beads. You will receive a randomly-selected lot of 12 beads that have the main color as being white. Note that there are flecks of other colors in these beads. Each bead is different; no two are the same. My paper beads range in length from 1/2"-2" with an average length of 1".
I am often asked if these beads can get wet. I recently finished doing an "experiment" with my paper beads... I submerged some in a cup of water. After 24 hours there was absolutely no damage done!
