One of many "portable mini-installations" or found object shadow boxes as most people would call them I've done. This predominantly black & white piece features a 50 or 60's era Japanese doll that I've prettied up with some vintage jewelry. Kitsch AND Sparkle in the same place! How can you resist it's siren call?

Ceativemind at work again, no wonder I get so many headaches. I was saving up my tabs to make a belt, I got anxious and just stopped at making this choker and bracelets. Made the blue bracelet first with blue glitter lanyard string, then it snowballed from there. The second bracelet came then the choker with black corded string. I still have tabs left over and still saving. Each piece is sold separately.

This shadow box contains too many items to list, but it chronicles the major eras of a troubled young lady's life. I'm not trying to paint a specific story for the viewer, it's kind of a found object "Choose Your Own Adventure".

They long dangly earrings are truly unique! They are made with Swarovski Crystal Bicone Topaz 6mm and Swarovski Crystal Peridot bicone 4mm. The large green faceted crystal drop is a vintage glass and is attached to gold vintage chain. These earrings are approx. 4 inches long.

Beautiful czech glass beads in translucent purple and clear luster comprise these pretty clusters. These measure ~1 3/4" from top of hook to bottom. Hooks are surgical stainless steel.

I start by sewing a canvas shell, then paint my design using acrylic paint. All bags are fully lined with durable black fabric. Loop a pony tail holder onto the loop on the end of the fall. Use the ponytail holder to secure the fall to a ponytail or bun. 2. Clip a barrette through the loop and clip into hair where desired. 3. Longer falls can be used as headbands if you wrap them around your head and stick the end through the loop. You could also clip ir tie the ends together for extra security. 4. Wrap the fall around the base of a ponytail or bun. (looks really cool if you wrap one fall around and then have one or more falls hanging down.) To wear on your belt: Simply slide your belt through the loop if your belt is small enough. Bigger belts may require you to sew or pin the fall to the inside or outside of your belt. Keep in mind this pair of falls is extra long so you either need to be tall or you will have to get a little creative in how you put it on your belt.
